Performance Anxiety

I like to be watched. Sometimes. Well no, watched isn’t really the right word. Maybe observed is better.

A couple hours ago I was observed by my district manager, his manager, and a co-worker. I was doing what I do every day, and well, I was able to totally tune them out and just do it. That said, I FREAK if I have to present in front of a small group…so I don’t really get it. I’m a TOTAL wreck as a public speaker, but when it comes to being judged, 1-on-1, or even 4-on-1, well, it’s no problem for me. I don’t understand it. I really don’t.

Maybe I’m just too dumb to suffer performance anxiety. Heh.

About Me

My photo
This is me and one of my two cats. His name is Cougar, and he’s an F1 Chausie. A chausie is a new breed of cat under development. Chausies are the result of a cross between a domestic cat (in Cougar’s case, a Bengal) and a jungle cat (Felis Chaus). Cougar’s mom is 8 pounds and his father is a 30-pound jungle cat. He’s about 16 pounds, super intelligent, spirited, and toilet trained. A writer without a cat (or two) is not to be trusted.
