Life's little pleasures

Ah, I love the smell of clean clothes in the morning. I've got a basket of them, here at my side. Yeah, I used Irma and Ezra last night. Two loads in each. Life's simple pleasures, I tell you. What was I so worried about?

When I get my new camera I'll take pictures of the pair and share with you their polished white perfection. For now, you'll have to imagine their stout, squat forms; their little wooden platforms that keep their feet from the cold, chilly concrete garage floor; and their greedy sliver grillwork, laced with silver coins.

Though I have to share them with the residents of apartment 1 and 2, I was the first. Their first. And that, my friends, is special.

About Me

My photo
This is me and one of my two cats. His name is Cougar, and he’s an F1 Chausie. A chausie is a new breed of cat under development. Chausies are the result of a cross between a domestic cat (in Cougar’s case, a Bengal) and a jungle cat (Felis Chaus). Cougar’s mom is 8 pounds and his father is a 30-pound jungle cat. He’s about 16 pounds, super intelligent, spirited, and toilet trained. A writer without a cat (or two) is not to be trusted.
