Oops!

Is all real art accidental? Is it the unplanned stuff that develops out of a pool of poorly mixed chemicals? Is it the stuff that you planned to tear up and hide from the light of day, but in doing so, you stopped, reassessed, realized?

Is planning and organizing and slavish adherence to your ideas anathema to art?

Not craft, but art?

I kind of think art is in the middle somewhere. Not fully an accident, but perhaps not full planned either.

Hmm...yeah, I can see where that makes sense. Art may be a back road you didn't intend to go down, but it showed up, and you took it, And art is where you ended up. Hmmm...

No, it's definitely accidental... I'm sure of it.

About Me

My photo
This is me and one of my two cats. His name is Cougar, and he’s an F1 Chausie. A chausie is a new breed of cat under development. Chausies are the result of a cross between a domestic cat (in Cougar’s case, a Bengal) and a jungle cat (Felis Chaus). Cougar’s mom is 8 pounds and his father is a 30-pound jungle cat. He’s about 16 pounds, super intelligent, spirited, and toilet trained. A writer without a cat (or two) is not to be trusted.
