Sunday afternoons...

. . . should all be like this. I found Tartines... an amazing bakery, but resisted emptying my wallet out on the counter and only bought a single morning bun... then walked about a mile to Philz Coffee. I'm sipping his Tesora blend, listening to a live jazz trio playing, while sitting on an overstuffed couch.

The owner, Phil, is behind the counter, wearing his signature Fedora and proudly brewing the brews he's spent years perfecting.

I'm in a mellow state of mind right now... the list 'O thangs is still pressing at my cranium, but not as hard and insistently as normal. With each sip, the pressure seems to lesson a bit.

Love a good Sunday afternoon...

Sounds a bit like my enjoyable Sunday, except without the people.

About Me

My photo
This is me and one of my two cats. His name is Cougar, and he’s an F1 Chausie. A chausie is a new breed of cat under development. Chausies are the result of a cross between a domestic cat (in Cougar’s case, a Bengal) and a jungle cat (Felis Chaus). Cougar’s mom is 8 pounds and his father is a 30-pound jungle cat. He’s about 16 pounds, super intelligent, spirited, and toilet trained. A writer without a cat (or two) is not to be trusted.
